“This book is for every youth or high school football player and coach. My dream is that the work that went into producing this book will be rewarded when every individual reader discovers a tip, strategy, motivation or winning play that raises the readers game to a new level.”
“More that anything else, this book is designed to help developing quarterbacks, receivers and their coaches understand the basic vulnerabilities of any defensive pass formation.”, Tyrone Braxton.
An entire section is devoted to tips for young players as well. The earlier a young player begins to develop the techniques for effective play, the sooner these effective techniques become a habit and are ingrained for the remainder of a player’s football career.
An example tip for receivers contained in the playbook:
Be a Team Player on Every Play
Usually, a big pass or run play means a receiver made a key block down field. Play as a team and don’t be afraid to make a big block. Some of the best receivers in the world were also great blockers, like John Taylor, Rod Smith and Vance Johnson. Run all routes crisp and clean, understanding that you are sometimes a key decoy to an opportunity for another player.
